St. Aidan’s Mission Trip 2012
Attention all rising 9-12 graders interested in participating in the St. Aidan’s Mission Trip: We are planning to travel to Eleanor, West Virginia July 15-21, 2012 and want you to join us for an incredible week of being with other teens who want to have fun and serve God by helping repair homes of those in need. St. Aidan’s teens and chaperones have made this trip for the past 2 years and have great stories to share of their experiences. Check out the Reach Workcamp website at www.reachwc.org for all the details. A fifty dollar deposit is all that is needed now to secure your spot, the remaining cost will be paid by group fundraising efforts and outreach support from the church.
The
main fundraiser will be held
on February 25, 2012 and we
need help from all the kids
and families who plan to participate
in the mission trip to make
this event a huge success. Please
be on the lookout for more announcements
and contact Melissa or Bill
Waide for any questions or concerns.
Thanks for your interest and
support of this meaningful ministry.
Pictures from our FUNdraiser to help get last year's Mission Trip going!
Here are some pictures from our fantastic fundraiser that generated $6300 in one night!
First
up are our musicians Hannah
Morgan and Charity Santella
who played during dinner. Then
things started to get interesting.

Ima
Helper and her pal Bea Helper
also showed up. Her Ima is
helping Jeff Rankin bid on one
of our live auction items.
Below and to
the right is our auctioneer
Bert Poole and below shows
our parish hall filled with
a
table
for each month of the year.
Thanks to all who helped out,
provided auction
items, food and their time
to make this a memorable
event.
This evening really gets
our
youth off to their trip on
a great start.

Brian and Fred tend the bar while Holly Waide gives a powerful talk about what the group experienced on last years trip.

EYC (Episcopal Youth Community) is the official Episcopal youth group.
Grades 8-12
Every Sunday Evening between 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Dinner Provided by Congregational Families
EYC provides time for fellowship and spiritual growth opportunities for youth to form a community committed to living out the words of our baptismal covenant.
With God's help we will:
- Proclaim by word and example the good news of God in Christ
- Seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving our neighbor as ourselves
- Strive for justice and peace among all people and respect the dignity of every human being.
In addition to weekly activities, such as games, movies, and rock wall climbing, members participate in several retreat events each year that combine spiritual development with first-class fun activities.
