wildlife

part of a supportive
community

will be a life-changing
experience for your
child as
we gather
togther as a community
and grow in faith.
As the sun rises and
sets on the savannah,
so too, will faith
and relationships
grow
as your child explores
the connections with
God, family, friends
and others around
the
world.
Get ready to
experience the most
amazing community
get-together
under the sun.
Our
choir director will
lead the children in
some wonderful African
music.
The
evening will begin
with dinner at 5 p.m.

IN GRADES PRE-K THROUGH

Children
(Grades Pre-K-and
K through Grade 3)
At
St. Aidan's we use
the
Godly Play curriculum
for our youngest students.
We have expanded the
program up through
grade 3. Godly Play
focuses on teaching
our children the basic
Bible stories through
creative story telling
that uses a set of
manipulatives.
The children are then
encouraged to respond
to the stories by re-telling
the story using the
manipulatives or though
art. The
program is a Montessori
based program.
Children
(4th, and 5th grade)
This
year we are using a
new program that will
focus on the church
year and the meanings
of the various seasons.
This will be done by
using both some custom
designed lessons and
Seasons of the Spirit,
a lectionary based curriculum
that focuses on the
Church year. We will
also be using Kids in
Common which is a new
book of common prayer
for later elementary
school children. We
hope to help instill
the idea of prayer as
a normal part of life
with this age group.
