OLD FAVORITES AND NEW OFFERINGS!

Our Chrisitan Formation Program is growing this year. As we move forward in our mission to make disciples for Christ we are putting a new emphasis on our formation programs. Life long Christian Formation is an important focus of the Episcopal Church. So important the our last General Convention passed a resolution making this a priority for this 3 year period. Some of our programs are continuing favorites, but others are brand new offerings

SUNDAY MORNING

We offer an adult Christian Formation Class from September through May at 9:30 in the Hospitality Room. Led by the Rector and members of the parish this class considers a wide variety of topics, from current church issues, to studies of specific books of the Bible.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY

You are invited to an exciting new adult Bible study beginning Wednesday, Sept. 15 at 6:30 in the church’s library. Our curriculum for the first 14 weeks will be a study of the Book of Revelation produced by Kerygma. Text is $20 and is available in the office

Reading, reflection and discussion are key elements of this Kerygma program. You can find out more about Kerygma at Kerygma.com. Contact Irv and Sue Wells or Mae Peale if you have any questions about this program.

THURSDAY BROWN BAG BIBLE STUDY

This class looks at the Bible passages for the next Sunday. The class follows the 11:30 weekday Eucharist. Bring something to eat and a bible. The class meets every Thursday September-June.

TRYING SOMETHING NEW

There are many important areas to teach and reflect about in our busy world. We will be offering several special short term classes. We hope to expand beyond just the programs in Advent and Lent that we have offered in the past. The first one is described below.

SO WHAT OTHER PROGRAMS WOULD YOU LIKE?

So what programs would you like to see this year. I will post an easel in the narthex with a marker. Please mark down your suggestions as to what you would like to have covered in these programs. Or email the rector with your suggestions.
